This involves applying styling to all chapters, creating running heads, page numbering, carefully attending to textual features such as italics, bolding and so on, and then creating a beautiful even look to the text (no lone single words or lines, no bigger spaces between words) by making subtle adjustments. For complex books such as textbooks, photobooks, or manuals, this is a longer and more creatively driven process of individual page design, skillfully combining images and text in inventive ways, which support rather than obscure absorption of information.
